I’ll bet you Ladies who are concerned about their looks and who wish nothing more than to look their best know Elizabeth Arden products. This company produces a wide array of cosmetics from lip to body care, but is most famous for their perfumes and their skin care products.

The company is built by Florence Nightingale Graham, who took up her business name Elizabeth Arden, who came to The U.S. and established what was going to be her cosmetics empire far back in 1909. Yeah, you didn’t read wrong. Elizabeth Arden Skin Care has been around for a very long time.

Miss Arden passed away in 1966, but when she was alive, she made a lot of very influential breakthroughs in cosmetics. She was the one, for example, after traveling to France, came back to America and popularized modern eye makeup – women don’t’ generally wear makeup back then, only stage performers.

She also worked with chemist A. Fabian Swanson to create the highly successful “fluffy” face cream, which led to her and Swanson creating other successful Elizabeth Ardent Skin Care products which based their effectiveness on the formulas behind them. This was also the one thing revolutionized cosmetics, with the involvement of scientific approach to formulations.

She was so successful that it was said of her in the 1930s: there are only three American names that are known throughout whole world: Singer sewing machines, Coca-Cola, and Elizabeth Arden Skin care.

The company continued the legacy of Miss Arden today and continues to produce high quality Elizabeth Arden Skin Care and other cosmetics. One of the “hottest” products of late is the PREVAGE anti aging treatment kit.

PREVAGE contains 1% of the highly potent antioxidant called idebenone, and is said to be able to reduce wrinkles and black spots on the skin. It’s been promoted by many, including by the Beverly Hills Dermatologist Randal D. Haworth.  Haworth said in the In style magazine, however, than it may take as long as 5 to 6 weeks for PREVAGE to show results.

A lot of people experienced diverse side-effects after using PREVAGE, however, and some have even reported itchiness and even developed rash and itchiness after using PREVAGE. Clearly, the product needed the right skin in order for it to be effective.
